Amazing Experiences:

We have had two great days here in China. Yesterday, we decided to go to a local park about 15 minutes away from the hotel. It was absolutely beautiful and was packed full of people since it was Saturday. They were doing all different types of activities and exercises and they were all really good inspite of some of them being quite elderly. We came across a group of people playing a game similar to "Hackisack". Well Paul, being the boy that he is, jumped in to play with them. Needless to say, I am quite sure it was the first time a 6'7" Irish man had ever played with these people. He was fantastic at the game and therefore, he became quite the celebrity among the locals, it was so much fun to watch, they loved him. Also, we were quite an eyeful for the locals. The more they stared, the bigger our smiles were to them. We were surrounded several times by people curious about Molly and Maggie.

In every single situation, the people were so incredibly nice to us and always gave us the thumbs up when they realized our girls were adopted, it was so sweet. Today, we traveled to a Buddhist Temple where Maggie got a special Buddhist Blessing from the head monk - it was beautiful and touching.

The big news is our sweet little baby had her very first bath ever tonight and boy did she have fun. We decided to wait to give her a bath and to let her adjust for a few days. She is pure joy and so beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I have not been able to read the comments on our blog so my brother was kind enough to cut and paste them and sent them via email to me. Thank you so very much to everyone for your sweet and touching comments. Please keep them coming so we can read them, it makes us feel good since we are already a bit home sick. Love to all, Steph

Stephanie, I have a Guangdong gal as well and I have to say Maggie looks so much like our Erin, I think it's the eyes. Congratulations on your beautiful little girl.

Hi Guys, Thank You so much for posting the pictures. They are so great. I love the pictures in the park and the one where Molly is holding Maggie. So Cute. Can't wait for you guys to get back. We missed you at the Miss Helen's Carnival. Just think next year you will have both girls at the carnival. I love it. We had our first homestudy visit and the next meeting is scheduled for Wed. We like the caseworker and are excited to keep the adoption process going. Keep posting the pics they are great. :))

She Found You

All of the waiting, paperwork, and tears
She knew you were coming, she new it for years

She knew it from the day she arrived
She was a Gilmartin, she knew it inside

You took off into the sky so blue
She was looking, but she couldn't see you

She was placed in your arms and began to cry
She was scared, she didn't know why

She couldn't see through eyes so wet
It was her parents that she just met

Her eyes cleared just for awhile
She saw who was holding her and started to smile

It was Paul and Steph, and Molly too
She had found her family, She found you
